
Our Board Needs Your Help!!!
While we have an experienced Board of Directors who run a very well-oiled machine, we are in urgent need of new Board members (some of these folks have been at this for many years and would like to slow down just a bit!)…
We understand that meeting times may present a barrier to some who might be considering joining our group, and want to assure you that we are flexible and computer literate! Some of our members email us their reports, and perform their duties on a day that is do-able for them.
We have several opportunities available at this time:
- Secretary – Attends and takes minutes of our monthly meetings, and distributes copies of the minutes to the Board prior to the next meeting. Board of Directors Meeting: 2nd Tuesday of Every Month @ 9:00 a.m.
- Volunteer Coordinator – The ideal volunteer would act as a liaison with library staff in contacting volunteer applicants, as well as coordinate with other Board Chairs to determine areas of need and arrange training sessions, as needed. Also tracks and reports monthly volunteer hours to the Board at monthly meeting. 1-2 hrs. per month, coordinating.
Board of Directors Meeting: 2nd Tuesday of Every Month @ 9:00 a.m.

Book Sorting Chair – This position requires a good understanding of book sorting procedures, good organizational/delegating skills, as well as an “eye” for hidden treasures which may be buried in a box of cast-offs. If you love books, and handling them, this is the opportunity for you! 2-3 hrs. per month, coordinating.
